Biography[]
Rattleraptors were never lovely. Ferocious jungle hunters, that's more like it. But when a Rattleraptor fell into Campbell's evil hands, the combination was... Well, this beast you are now holding. The Dark Rattleraptor. A sea of spikes, claws and teeth, combining the speed of Rattleraptors with massive slicing attacks that make him fearful... And fearless.
How to Capture[]
Invizimals Shadow Zone: Win the Dark Desert Tournament.
Invizimals Lost Tribes: Throw a tomato, then a loaf. And now turn your PSP. Now throw the bun. And then press triangle repeatedly and then repeatedly press square. You already have your Dark Rattleraptor.
Invizimals: Shadow Zone[]
Dark Rattleraptor was the first Dark Invizimal introduced and was found by Kenichi in the base of Kilimanjaro. Kenichi became concerned by the unusual abilities of Dark Rattleraptor in combat and decided to send him to his good friend, Professor Dawson, for further testing. However, the Invizimal bit Dawson almost immediately and his aggressive behavior drove him to perform further research. Eventually, Dawson realized Rattleraptor was a Dark Invizimal composed of dark light, the same light found in black holes, which could damage PSP systems.
Dawson's willingness to understand and investigate the Dark Invizimals ultimately turned bad for him because when the player acquired a Dark Flameclaw in the Native American tournament, Dawson was seen delving into madness as a result of his contact with Dark Rattleraptor and Dark Flameclaw before being brainwashed into becoming loyal to the master of the Dark Invizimals, who was none other than his and Kenichi's nemesis, Campbell.
Fortunately, the player freed Dawson from Campbell's control by defeating the Dark Rattleraptor in Invizimal combat before Campbell himself was defeated by the player and subsequently dragged to the Shadow Zone by Dark Icelion.
Invizimals: The Lost Tribes[]
In the penultimate cutscene of the game, which depicted Kenichi and Campbell's final battle, Campbell summoned Dark Rattleraptor, Dark Uberjackal, Dark Xiong Mao and Dark Xue Hu to emphasize his point there was nothing Kenichi and the rest of humanity could do to prevent him from taking over the world. Kenichi insisted that Dark Rattleraptor and the rest of the Dark Invizimals were never evil to begin with until Campbell poisoned their minds and turned them into his tools fo destruction. Through the use of Tigersharks of light and dark, Kenichi and the player defeated Campbell and his Dark Invizimal army once and for all.

Strategy[]
Dark Rattleraptor plays extremely differently from the regular Rattleraptor, for Dark Rattleraptor has a much worse attack stat. Despite regressing in that regard, Dark Rattleraptor compensates for it by having unparalleled stamina recovery. Its stamina recovery is so enormous that it can recover its full stamina bar in mere seconds, eliminating the need to even invest in stamina at all since Dark Rattleraptor will regain any stamina lost in a flash. It allows Dark Rattleraptor to be aggressive on a level that other Invizimals can only dream of. Couple that with Dark Rattleraptor having decent defensive presence, and it can be tough to get in any damage at all on an enemy Dark Rattleraptor if the enemy is good at dodging. With that in mind, the low attack stat hurts Dark Rattleraptor badly against opponents with high defence, as it will make Dark Rattleraptor struggle to do any damage to them.
