Invizimals: Battle of the Hunters Invizimals (TV) |
Jazmin Nayar is a main character in the game franchise of Invizimals. Along with her close friends Kenichi Nakamura and Professor Bob Dawson, she explores the world to learn more about the origins and culture of Invizimals. After Keni returns from a three-year absence of exploration of the Invizimal world, Jazmin becomes his assistant and second-in-command in the Alliance.
Invizimals[]
Jazmin was first seen by the player near the Mumbai Airport, where she was supposed to meet and pick up Kenichi Nakamura, a PSP system developer and inventor in Tokyo who had discovered invisible creatures, which he dubbed Invizimals, and was sent to Mumbai by his boss following a pirate attack. Unfortunately, he was arrested almost immediately following the landing of his plane. Jazmin succeeded in helping the player communicate with Kenichi while he was in prison.
Sebastian Campbell, a British billionaire and close friend of Kenichi's boss, managed to make the charges against Kenichi disappear and offered him and Jazmin sanctuary in the Campbell Castle in England so they could continue their research, which they accepted. During one of Kenichi's experiments that destroyed the power grid of the castle, he and Jazmin were kidnapped by men working for Axel Kaminsky, a Russian firearms dealer who planned to use Invizimals for an unknown but sinister cause. Though Kenichi was taken hostage, Jazmin managed to escape by jumping off the van, sustaining a broken arm in the process. Upon learning of the attack, Campbell transferred her to Windsor Hospital for her safety. She told the player to continue Kenichi's work by investigating the connections between Invizimals and ancient civilizations.
Eventually, Jazmin uncovered Kaminsky's secret reputation as the undefeated and highly-skilled champion of the Tokyo Club and he was using Akira as a puppet and cover. She joined Professor Bob Dawson in his office and they encouraged the player to defeat Kaminsky. Once Kaminsky was defeated, Campbell appeared and revealed to have hired Kaminsky to collect all Invizimals and sparks for himself before challenging the player to a battle. After the player defeated Campbell, the latter and Kenichi got into a brief struggle, which ended with Campbell taking Kenichi's damaged PSP system, which created a blast of memory powerful enough to cause malfunctions in all other PSP systems and this blast presumably vaporized Campbell.
Shortly afterwards, Jazmin interacted with the player in a secret cutscene, where she expressed her disbelief towards Campbell's betrayal and dark intentions. She then informed the player that she was born in the small Indian village of Bangalore and divulged that it was possible for a mythological creature from Bangalore's forests named Tigershark to be an Invizimal owned by a member in the Mumbai fight club. She encouraged the player to find the creature and add it to his/her collection before departing.
Invizimals: Shadow Zone[]
In the second game, Jazmin was revealed to have acquired an apartment in Spain. She welcomed the player back into the fold and explained that the previous game's memory blast wiped out the player's collection. She helped the player recover one of three species, forcing the player to choose between Flameclaw, Hilltopper and Icelion. Jazmin reunited with Kenichi and Dawson in Barcelona to continue investigating the origins of Invizimals, even though both Jazmin and Kenichi showed more interest in exploring the city rather than work. Upon having a conversation with Dawson's colleague Professor Alex Michaels, during which it was discussed the possibility of Campbell being still alive and plotting to exploit Invizimals for his own goals, Dawson and Jazmin convinced Kenichi to join them in travelling throughout the world to find new species of the invisible creatures. Jazmin went to India whereas Dawson and Keni headed to Mexico and Kenya, respectively.
As she explored the landscapes of Rajasthan, Jazmin tasked the player with catching a trio of Indian Invizimals. After acquiring the three creatures, Jazmin informed the player of a local tournament attended by some of the best hunters and encouraged him/her to win the tournament to obtain Steeltail, a bird-like Invizimal with a steel tail as its most dangerous weapon. While traversing the Nepalese mountains border, Jazmin expressed her desire to give up research for a while and relax in Sri Lanka and refused to catch a Yeti as per Dawson's request. Despite her warnings, the player successfully acquired the dangerous beast. Jazmin was next seen in Sri Lanka, where she informed the player that there were Invizimals in different colors and were reportedly stronger than their original counterparts. She motivated the player to check it out before ending the call.
Jazmin continued travelling and reached China, where she was seen walking through the Great Wall built by Emperor Qin Shi Huang. She revealed that not only the Emperor's tomb was surrounded by an army of Terracotta warriors but it was also protected by a quartet of mythological animal guardians, with Dawson only finding evidence on three of them-- Xiong Mao, Qinling and Glaucus. The guard of the tomb instructed Jazmin and the player to train and raise the first three guardians into their Max forms and if they beat him in the local tournament, they would prove themselves worthy of entering the tomb. Having emerged victorious by defeating Xue Hu, the fourth and most powerful guardian, Jazmin and the player were granted entrance to the Emperor's tomb, unlocking Shenlong and adding it to the collection.
Shortly after returning home, a distressed Jazmin begged the player to tell her what was going on, concerned with Dawson's deteriorating mental state and having heard of Campbell's plan to bring his Dark Invizimals to Earth to conquer the planet. She informed the player that she succeeded in partially repairing the player's PSP system, allowing him/her to recover a powerful ally from his/her previous collection-- a Tigershark. Jazmin eventually learned that although Campbell was defeated and dragged into the Shadow Zone, Kenichi crossed the Shadow Gate to prevent Campbell from wreaking havoc in the Invizimals' world, leaving Jazmin despondent.
In a secret cutscene, she was playing with her PSP System and her Stingwing until she received a call from one of her friends inviting her to a party. Jazmin politely refused the invitation and went back to play with Stingwing until her Invizimal pet created a drawing of Kenichi smiling and waving at her. Jazmin tried to communicate with Kenichi but received no answer from him and she spent the next months waiting for another of Kenichi's messages, which never came to pass.
Invizimals: The Lost Tribes[]
Three years have passed since the events of the second game and Jazmin eventually acquired a job as an archeologist in Athens, Greece, leaving Invizimal hunting behind. She received a visit from the player, who successfully convinced Jazmin to investigate an ancient mosaic, which depicted Kenichi standing before a Shadow Gate and being honored by several Invizimals. This shocking discovery allowed Jazmin to realize that Kenichi was capable of not only travelling between the real world and the Invizimal world through the Shadow Gate but he was also capable of travelling through time and history.
Upon making calls to some old friends, Jazmin found Kenichi's apartment in Kyoto to perform further research, only to find a stranger already inside. She grabbed a magazine as a makeshift weapon but the man urged her to calm down, introducing himself as Scott Dawson, Professor Dawson's son that he never mentioned before. He revealed that he was the one to have left a copy of Kenichi's diary in the player's front door and confessed that his father was so distraught over Kenichi's departure that he withdrew into isolation in an island in Scotland and would not talk to anyone, even Scott. They were soon joined by Professor Michaels, who revealed that Kenichi had also gone to Antarctica and discovered Invizimal lifeforms there. The three discovered Kenichi's files on every Invizimal ever found as well as a file that revealed Invizimals had developed a tag team battle mode.
While Professor Michaels travelled to Thailand to retrieve Audrey, a plant-like Invizimal whose energy was necessary to activate the Gate, Jazmin and Scott went to the basement, where they were attacked by a Kabuto-Robo, which had been left by Kenichi to guard the Gate, only for the player to dispatch him. Once the player disabled the circuit keeping the vault door closed, Jazmin and Scott discovered the Shadow Gate that Kenichi had built in the middle of some caves. After the player took care of the guardians of the gate, Michaels returned with Audrey and used it to activate the gate, allowing the player to enter The Wave, where he/she was trapped by Campbell and his Dark Invizimal army for a short while.
When Campbell was defeated once and for all, Jazmin, Michaels and Scott reunited with Kenichi in the rooftop of a building in London, where Kenichi revealed that Invizimals were actually dinosaurs who managed to save themselves by becoming invisible and that he had made an oath to keep everything related to the Shadow Gate and the Invizimal world top secret, even from his closest friends. Kenichi went on to assure his friends that they could travel safely from the real world to the Invizimal world and back again with no harm to themselves.
