Professor Alex Michaels is a director of Classic mythology and a recurring character in InviZimals: Shadow Zone and InviZimals: The Lost Tribes.

Professor Michaels was introduced to the player as a colleague of Bob Dawson during his research in Barcelona and she was fascinated by Kenichi Nakamura's discovery of Invizimals, ancient invisible creatures. She talked to Dawson and Jazmin over the possibility of their old nemesis Campbell being still alive and planning to turn Invizimals into weapons to dominate the world, encouraging Kenichi, Jazmin and Dawson to explore the world in search of new species of Invizimals.
When Kenichi found a base of operations in Egypt and deduced it was Campbell's secret lair, he contacted Michaels, who helped Kenichi translate a text in Latin that revealed Campbell's ultimate goal-- open a gateway to the Invizimal world and use his Dark Invizimals to conquer humanity. According to the lines on the map, Campbell chose Stonehenge as the spot to open the gate. Michaels also noted Dawson's poor mental state and deduced that Campbell and his Dark Invizimals were responsible for it.
After the player freed Dawson from Campbell's control and Campbell was dragged to the Shadow Zone by Dark Icelion, Michaels called Kenichi and seemed shocked that the gate remained open. The portal only closed when Kenichi decided to head to the Invizimal world with Dark Icelion, leaving a heartbroken Dawson behind.
InviZimals: The Lost Tribes[]
Before Kenichi departed, he reported to Michaels the existence of Invizimal lifeforms inhabiting Antartica, even though it was not inhabitable to other species. Three years after the events of the previous game, the player visited Michaels and helped her discover numerous Antartic lifeforms, including a Snowcaster, which allowed Michaels to realize Kenichi was correct.
Michaels found Kenichi's apartment in Kyoto and found Jazmin and Scott Dawson, the son of Bob Dawson who was never mentioned or heard before. Michaels and Scott almost immediately developped a friendly rivalry while they and Jazmin discovered Kenichi's documents on every Invizimal species discovered. One of Kenichi's greatest discoveries was that Invizimals learned to battle in tag teams. The trio discovered a vault door in the basement, which revealed some underground caves and Shadow Gate built by Kenichi. However, it could only be activated by the life force of Audrey, a plant-like Invizimal, prompting Michaels to travel to Thailand to retrieve an Audrey, which she managed to find after nearly twenty-four hours of walking through numerous jungles.
After the player took care of the guards left by Kenichi to protect the Gate, Jazmin, Michaels and Scott managed to activate the Gate with Audrey's energy. Since all three were unwilling to cross the Gate, the player volunteered himself/herself and entered the parallel dimension, known as the Wave.
After defeating Campbell for good, Kenichi reunited with his friends in the rooftop of a building in London and explained that he kept them in the dark in regards to everything related to the gate and the Invizimal world because he was initially unsure of the safety of the gate and the Invizimals made him swear secret. He guaranteed to his friends that they could visit the Invizimal world and return to their own world without any problem.
