Strategy[]
Xiong Mao is a well-balanced Invizimal with an emphasis on offense. Xiong Mao's best stat is its attack, allowing it to hit very hard. The rest of Xiong Mao's stats are average. It has average life and armour, giving Xiong Mao decent defences, albeit not the most impressive. Xiong Mao has a decent stamina stat, but this is undermined by a poor stamina recovery stat. Even when mutated, Xiong Mao does not recover stamina at a quick speed. As a result, the player must be careful to not launch too many attacks in rapid succession, as doing so can leave Xiong Mao exposed and vulnerable to counterattack. Managing Xiong Mao's stamina well is the key to getting the most out of it, as Xiong Mao can be capable on both offense and defence when the player gives it room to work with.
Xiong Mao Max's strongest attack is a slice attack, and Xiong Mao also has a basic slice attack, giving Xiong Mao a good offensive matchup against Fire type Invizimals, although most Fire type Invizimals will be able to respond in kind with boosted Fire attacks of their own. Xiong Mao Max has a quick poison attack, giving Xiong Mao decent matchups against Ocean type Invizimals. Three of Xiong Mao's four attacks are physical, making Wall very effective against Xiong Mao, limiting it to its one quick poison attack.
